Daily Exercise: Facts You Didn’t Know
We all know that exercise (at a recommended 30 minutes/day schedule) helps the body burn calories and make the heart healthier. There are a lot of types of exercise that targets certain body parts and we are all aware of what benefits we are will experience by doing that. However, there are more benefits that we can have when we effort to have a dose of daily exercise and some of them are even not in the textbooks or informative write-ups that we have read since we were kids.
Detox Device. It is a fact; a very unpopular fact; that the skin is supposed to lose approximately two pounds of waste products and harmful body toxins through sweat. When a person exercises, he frees the body of several substances that should not be there in the first place. In exercise, the lymphatic system (the one that provides drainage for the body’s extra fluids) is also enhanced, leading to a faster removal of cellular by-products such as the harmful free radicals.
Skin-Saver. We know that exercise makes us sweat and that it makes our heart pump blood better, but what is unclear to us is how it affects our skin. If you notice, people who regularly exercise have more well-toned skin that glows with health. That is because when people sweat, the pores are drained of the stuck-up waste products coming from the environment (dust, dirt) and the by-products of skin cell growth that comes from the inside. Since blood is also delivered more effectively, the skin receives ample amounts of oxygen and nutrients enough to keep it supple and well-nourished. Exercise can help you save on lotions and moisturizers that may cost too much and may contain harmful ingredients.
Lingering Libido. If the people who make libido-enhancing drugs read this, they would probably fear going broke. Exercise is the healthiest way to increase your libido and last longer in sexual intercourse. The main reason for this is that when your body gains optimal function, your sympathetic nervous system also works pretty well – and some of its functions are to control the blood flow to the genital area and regulate the production of your hormones. Aside from that, with regular exercise, you also improve your stamina and strength and your body is more adaptive to being under “stressful” situations.
Brain-Booster. Keeping up with daily routines will surely enhance your mental functions such as concentration and memory. For young adults, you’ll need this as you go along each day battling with your different responsibilities. For the elderly, not only will it keep you from being too forgetful, it also helps you maintain a sharp mind so you’ll still be able to function like middle-agers do. Talk about growing old gracefully in both physical and mental aspects!
Esteem-Enhancer. Taking into consideration the holistic effects of exercise on the body and summarizing everything in two words, we come up with “feel good”. It is said that exercise boosts the self-esteem and gives the person a positive self-concept because of how they respond to how others look at them. This two are essential in keeping healthy social relationships with the people that surround us. Positive self-perception also helps people to succeed at their chosen field.
In every angle, regular exercise will help you become a better person in life. It would help you in enhance your physique, mental functions, self-esteem, and even your relationship with the opposite sex.
